Barkos Beáta, születtem Szegeden 1957.10.15-én. Simon Miklós festőművész férjem indított el a képzőművészet útján. Tűzzománc képeket, díszdobozokat, egyedi tervezésű ékszereket készítek grafikusi-, rekesz-, sodrony-, áttört tűzzománc technikával. E mellet festek üvegeket: faliképeket és lakberenezési tárgyakat.
Textil pannót is készítek, amelyet festek és varrok.
Szeretek kísérletezni, új utakat járni, egyedi megrendelésekre dolgozni, mert szeretem megismerni az embereket, akiknek személyre szóló tárgyakat készíthetek.

ABOUT BEÁTA BARKOS

I think one of my most important features is how much I like making experiments with all kinds of materials. My husband, who is an artist led me into the world of enamelling. I plan and make real pictures, jewelleries, various boxes and frames with the help of more enamelling methods. Each piece or collection is so unique and unrepeatable. Seeing women wearing my works or giving them to each other as presents makes me really happy. I am teaching enamelling in our own workshop, located in Szeged-Tápé (Southern Hungary), where I also run courses of this kind during summertime. I have also made some experiments with glass-painting. I make many kinds of decorations of this kind like candle holders, glass table covers and bigger pictures. I also make pictures from textile. These are pretty decorative and intensive framed ornaments which I sew and paint with my own hands. I like challenges and tasks because this is how I can get more and more experiences in working with materials. I would like my work to help people to live in a harmonic and beautiful enviroment and so enjoy the beauty of the world. My talent is only to mediate between harmony and the orderer. I beleive that creating things does teach our souls as materials themselves show their own features and beauty. This is what I would like to achieve with my work to create as much beauty as possible into our world. My judged enamels have taken part in several exhibitions in Szeged, in Rothenburg (Germany) and in the catalogue of the so called " Tisza-Maros" International Craft Exhibition.If zou are interested in one of our courses I also can send you leaflets or catalogues.

Ich glaube, dass meine charakteristische Eigenschaft die Lust für Experiment ist. Mein Ehemann, Mikós Simon, Kunstmaler, führte mich in die Geheimnisse der Feueremailanfertigung ein. Ich entwerfe und schöpfe Bilder und Schmücke mit verschiedenen Techniken. Jedes stück ist eigenartig und unnachahmlich. In unserer Werkstatt führen wir eine Künstlerkolonie und Lager für Kinder und Kunstler. Ich habe die Glasmalerei ausprobiert. Ich male unterschiedliche Wohnungsschmücke: Wandbilder, Uhren, Lampen, Vasen, usw., auch zum Verkauf. Ich habe auch gemalte bzw. genahte Textilbilder in grossem Ausmass nach individuellem Anspruch geschöpft.
